SCHNEIDER supplies lead weights for various requirements. Lead plates can be used to stabilise fork-lifters, or to provide the required counterweight in elevator construction. In the production of rotor vanes for wind power plants, numerous tiny compensating weights made of lead ensure correct balancing. For centuries, lead has been a successful ballast keel in ship construction. The softness of the material in comparison to steel or concrete means that collisions with flotsam or other causes of impact are damped.
Choose between the following products:
Lead plates are frequently used as counterweights. SCHNEIDER produces lead weights of up to 100 mm in thickness and 1300 mm in width. The standard thicknesses are 5 mm, 10 mm, 25 mm and 50 mm. The cut and the processing are carried out according to the customer's request. The lead plates can be coated with a colour coating for aesthetic reasons or reasons of hygiene.
SCHNEIDER produces lead weights precisely according to draughts. From a few grammes to several tonnes; from individual pieces to serial production. In chill or die casting; pressed or punched.
Hollow spaces can be filled using lead balls. Lead balls are supplied in various diameters. With a diameter of 2.5 mm, please calculate an apparent density of approx. 7 kg/dm³. Higher apparent densities can be achieved through filling balls and fine granulate in layers.
Lead ingots is the most inexpensive method of producing lead weights. Lead weights in various weights and alloys are included in our range of products.
