Lead plates can be used to stabilise fork-lifters, or to provide the required counterweight in elevator construction. In the production of rotor blades for wind power plants, numerous tiny compensating weights made of lead ensure correct balancing. For centuries, lead has been a successful ballast keel in ship construction. The softness of the material in comparison to steel or concrete means that collisions with flotsam or other causes of impact are damped.
According to drawingSCHNEIDER produces lead weights precisely according to drawing. From a few grams to several tons; from individual pieces to serial production. In chill or die casting; pressed or punched.
Lead ballsHollow spaces can be filled using lead balls to increase the weight. Lead balls are supplied in various diameters. With a diameter of 2,5 mm, please calculate an apparent density of approx. 7 kg/dm³.
Lead platesLead plates are often used as counterweight. SCHNEIDER produces lead plates of up to 100 mm in thickness and up to 1.300 mm in width. The standard thicknesses are 5 mm, 10 mm, 25 mm and 50 mm.
